A KICK IN THE GRASS PROGRAM POLICIES
1. Registration and Enrollment
1.1. Age Requirement: Our soccer program is open to children between the ages of 18 months and 6 years.
1.2. Enrollment Process: Parents/guardians must complete the online registration form through BYGA and provide accurate information about their child. Enrollment is subject to availability, and classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
1.3. Parental Consent: Parents/guardians must provide written consent on our waiver here for their child to participate in our soccer program.
1.4. Class Placement: Children should be placed in classes based on their age. If we see your child signed up in the wrong age group we will notify you.
2. Class Schedule and Attendance
2.1. Class Sessions: Our program is structured into seasonal sessions, with specific start and end dates for the Fall, Winter and Spring. The schedule is subject to change, and any modifications will be communicated to the parents/guardians in advance.
2.2. Attendance: Regular attendance is essential for the child's progress and development. Parents are encouraged to ensure their child attends each class punctually.
2.3. Make-up Classes: We understand sometimes a child may be ill or there are unavoidable circumstances, however, we are not able to accommodate make-up classes at this time.
3. Parental Involvement
3.1. Parental Presence: For children aged 18 months to 2 years, a parent or guardian is required to actively participate in the class with their child. For children aged 2 years to 6 years, a parent or guardian must be present for bathroom breaks, in case of an emergency and/or some extra encouragement.
3.2. Parental Support: Parents/guardians are encouraged to provide positive support and encouragement during classes and refrain from any disruptive behavior.
4. Safety and Supervision
4.1. Qualified Instructors: Our soccer classes are led by experienced and certified soccer coaches who have undergone background checks.
4.2. Safety Measures: We maintain a safe environment by adhering to appropriate safety protocols, such as regular equipment inspections and age-appropriate activities.
4.3. Medical Information: Parents/guardians are required to inform the program coordinators of any relevant medical conditions or allergies that their child may have.
5. Code of Conduct
5.1. Respectful Behavior: All participants, including children and parents/guardians, are expected to treat each other, the instructors, and program staff with respect and courtesy.
5.2. Non-Discrimination: We promote inclusivity and do not tolerate any form of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or ability.
5.3. Communication: Parents/guardians are encouraged to maintain open lines of communication with the program coordinators and instructors regarding any concerns or feedback. We are currently using BYGA for communication. You may download the app here:
6. Tuition and Fees
6.1. Payment: Tuition fees are due before the start of each session. Payment options and details will be provided during the registration process.
6.2. Refunds/Cancellation Requests: Refunds will be granted before the season begins. Please notify us 48 hours before your first class and you will receive a full refund, minus a $20 registrant processing fee. Notice of cancellation 48hrs before the 3rd class begins will receive a prorated refund, minus a $20 registrant processing fee. Refunds will not be given for cancellation after the 3rd week of class.
7. Media Release
7.1. Consent for Photography: By enrolling their child in the soccer program, parents/guardians grant permission for photographs and videos to be taken during classes for promotional purposes.
7.2. Anonymity Option: Parents who do not wish to have their child's image used in promotional materials can request anonymity.
